Gutterly Brilliant Ltd operates the website at gutterlybrilliant.co.uk and provides gutter inspection and cleaning services. We are the data controller for the personal information we collect about you.

  • Your property address and postcode
  • Satellite imagery and roof data from Google Maps and Google Solar API for quote generation
  • Payment information — processed securely by Stripe. We do not store card details on our servers
  • Photos of your gutters taken during inspection and after cleaning
  • Communications including emails and reports

3. How we use your information

  • To provide and manage your gutter inspection and cleaning service
  • To process payments for inspection and cleaning fees
  • To send booking confirmations, inspection reports and updates
  • To send estimated arrival times and live updates on the day of your visit
  • To contact you regarding your booking or our services
  • To improve our service through analysis of anonymised usage data

4. Legal basis for processing

  • Contract: processing is necessary to provide the service you have requested
  • Legitimate interests: to improve our service, prevent fraud, and communicate about your booking
  • Legal obligation: where we are required to retain records for tax or regulatory purposes

5. Who we share your information with

  • Stripe — payment processing. PCI DSS compliant. Card details never stored on our servers.
  • Supabase — secure database and file storage hosting
  • SendGrid (Twilio) — email delivery
  • Google — Maps, satellite imagery and Solar API for property and roof data
  • Our operators — your name, address, phone number and property details are shared with your assigned operator

We do not sell your personal data to any third party.

6. How long we keep your information

  • Booking and payment records are kept for 7 years for tax and accounting purposes
  • Inspection photos and reports are kept for 2 years after your last booking
  • If you have not booked with us for 3 years we will delete your personal data

7. Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

  • Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you
  • Rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate data
  • Erasure — ask us to delete your data where there is no legitimate reason to keep it
  • Restriction — ask us to restrict processing in certain circumstances
  • Portability — request your data in a portable format
  • Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interests

8. Cookies

Our website uses only essential cookies required for authentication and security. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.

All data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections. Payment data is handled exclusively by Stripe, certified to PCI DSS Level 1. Photos are stored in private, access-controlled storage with no public URLs.
