Gutterly Brilliant

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 16 June 2026

1. Who we are

This policy explains how we handle your personal information when you use gutterlybrilliant.co.uk or book our service. The data controller is Refresh Business Limited, trading as Gutterly Brilliant (Company No. 11260854), registered office 98 Market Street, Ashby de la Zouch, LE65 1AP. You can contact us about your data at bookings@gutterlybrilliant.co.uk. We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (registration ZA472075). View our ICO registration certificate.

2. What we collect

  • Your name, address, email and phone number.
  • Details about your property and gutters, including satellite imagery and the camera footage and photographs we take during a visit.
  • Your booking details and payment information (your card details are handled directly by Stripe — we do not receive or store them).
  • Basic technical information when you use the website, such as your IP address and device type, for security and to make the site work.

3. How we use your information, and our lawful bases

  • To provide the service you booked — inspect, quote and carry out work (lawful basis: performance of our contract with you).
  • To contact you about your booking, send footage, quotes and arrival times (performance of our contract).
  • To take payment (performance of our contract).
  • To keep records we are required to keep, such as for tax (legal obligation).
  • To keep the website and your data secure, and to improve our service (our legitimate interests).
  • To send you marketing only where you have agreed, or where the law otherwise allows it; you can opt out at any time (consent / legitimate interests).

4. Photographs and footage

The camera footage and before/after photographs we take are used to prepare your quote and as a record of the work done. They are stored privately in access-controlled storage with no public links, and we will not publish images that identify your property without your permission.

5. Who we share it with

We use trusted third-party suppliers to run the service, and share only the information each one needs for its task. The categories of recipients are:

  • a payment processor, to take and secure your payment;
  • an email delivery provider, to send your booking and service emails;
  • mapping and imagery providers, to estimate the work from satellite imagery;
  • an address-lookup provider, to confirm your address;
  • cloud hosting, database and storage providers, to run the website and hold your information securely;
  • advertising platforms, where we advertise our service.

We can tell you the specific suppliers we use on request. Our field operators can see your name, address and contact details only to carry out your booking, and are contractually bound to use them for nothing else. We do not sell your personal information to anyone, and we disclose information to others only where required by law.

Some of these providers may process data outside the UK. Where that happens, we make sure appropriate safeguards are in place as required by UK data protection law — for example an adequacy decision, or standard contractual clauses with the UK Addendum.

6. How long we keep it

We keep your personal information only as long as we need it to provide the service and to meet our legal obligations — for example, we keep records relating to payments and tax for six years. Camera footage and photographs are kept for a reasonable period to support your quote, any warranty or dispute, and then deleted.

7. Your rights

You have the right to ask us for a copy of your information, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to data portability, in line with UK data protection law. To exercise any of these, email bookings@gutterlybrilliant.co.uk. We will respond within one month.

8. Cookies

Our website uses only the essential cookies needed for security and to make the site work. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.

9. Security

All data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections. Payment data is handled exclusively by Stripe, which is certified to PCI DSS Level 1. Photographs and footage are stored in private, access-controlled storage with no public URLs.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always available at gutterlybrilliant.co.uk/privacy.

11. Complaints

If you have a concern about how we handle your data, please contact us first at bookings@gutterlybrilliant.co.uk. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
